Clinically, cold water test, lack of or significant reduction as the standard to determine vestibular dysfunction. The swivel chair test stimulated the bilateral terminators, so the reaction did not identify the lesion side and was not used to determine the vestibular dysfunction side. The cold water test has several disadvantages: (1) it is a non-physiological stimulus and is highly dependent on the anatomy of the external ear, middle ear, and temporal bone; (2) the cold water test can not maximally stimulate the vestibular system and therefore its absence is not necessarily the absence of vestibular function ; ③ cold water test can not stimulate the entire VOR power system. The swivel chair test avoids the above shortcomings, but one general observation since the Barany era is that swivel chair tests can not be used to determine the side of the vestibular lesion. The authors studied patients (n = 110) selected in the vestibular balance laboratory since 1984. All patients into
