区域研究表明,庄浪河流域的主要地貌特征是:①上游干流呈北西西向,与区域构造线一致;下游为近南北向,横穿构造线,二者不相协调;②上游支流发育程度远较下游高,水系呈倾倒的钻天杨形;③上游金强河段内广泛分布第四级高级阶地,而下游缺失。在卫星影像上,不仅上述特征明显,而且还进一步揭示,上游金强河谷与东邻的松山滩同处四周被地槽褶皱山系围限的金强构造盆地内;流域的第四级阶地与松山滩实际构成同一级地形面,即古盆地推积顶面;现今的金强河谷明显呈现出切开古盆地堆积顶面,且愈近下游切割愈烈的影像特征。笔者认为,上述种种现象是中更新世末青藏高原边缘地形大切割时期,庄浪河溯源发展,切穿金强盆地南缘的地槽褶皱山系,最终袭夺了古金强河的结果。

The current Jinqiang valley clearly shows the image features of cutting the top of the ancient basin and cutting the more intense the downstream. The author believes that the above phenomena are the result of traceability of the Zhuanglang River during the large cutting period of the edge of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau at the end of the Middle Pleistocene that cut through the crevasse fold system in the southern margin of the Jinqiang Basin and eventually won the result of the ancient gold river.
