Sulfur hexafluoride (SF 6) gas is widely used as an excellent dielectric and arc extinguishing medium in the field of high-voltage electrical appliances, high-energy physics and metallurgy. In the process of production and use of SF_6, some impurities are usually introduced into the SF_6. In addition, some impurities (such as high-power arc impact, high temperature, high energy particles, etc.) decompose and react with other substances to produce several decomposition products. Some of these substances are seriously harmful to human health and equipment safety. For this purpose, strict quality monitoring of trace impurities in SF 6 gas must be carried out. There have been many discussions on the determination of trace impurities in SF_6 gas. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has also developed a standard analytical method for SF_6 gas, but none of them proposed to qualitatively and quantitatively determine the most harmful sulfur-containing fluoride
