四川省的柑桔栽培在解放前多用实生繁殖,每亩栽植18—30株,前期管理粗放,十来年后始能较多地结果,30—40年达到丰产时期。这批树仍是目前四川柑桔产量的重要来源。解放后,特别是大跃进时期,种植了一大批嫁接树,但仍沿用稀植,幼树管理仍很粗放,以致种植8~10年后才开始有产量,15—20年才进入丰产期,这显然不能适应社会主义建设的需要。
Citrus cultivation in Sichuan Province was multiplied with live propagation before liberation. 18-30 plants per mu were planted. Extensive management in the early stage could lead to more results in ten years and reach a high yield period in 30-40 years. These trees are still an important source of citrus production in Sichuan at present. After the liberation, especially during the Great Leap Forward, a large number of grafted trees were planted but they were still planted sparsely. The management of saplings was still extensive. Only 8 to 10 years after planting started to produce and 15 to 20 years before entering the high yield period. This obviously can not meet the needs of socialist construction.
