(1867～1957)意大利杰出指挥家。1867年3月25日。生于意大利巴尔马一个裁缝家庭。家境贫寒,自幼喜爱音乐,九岁入帕玛音乐学院学习大提琴与作曲,十八岁毕业,加入意大利歌剧团任大提琴手,十九岁赴巴西里约热内卢演出,因临时代理该团指挥演出歌剧《阿依达》获得成功,从此专事指挥。曾任米兰斯卡拉剧院、纽约大都会歌剧
(1867 ~ 1957) an outstanding Italian conductor. March 25, 1867. Born in Italy, a tailor’s family in Palma. He was a poor family member and loved music at an early age. He studied cello and composition at Parma Music School at the age of nine. He graduated at the age of eighteen and joined the Italian Opera Troupe as a cellist.
