The authors investigated the distribution of soil-borne nematode eggs in 10 farms, livestock houses, kitchens, and doors in Jiangchuan County of Yunnan Province and Hengshan County of Hunan Province. Results: Roundworms, whipworms, narrowing of tapeworm and hepatic capillaryworm eggs were seized. These eggs are distributed more widely in livestock and poultry houses, toilets and kitchens. Most of the eggs detected in the kitchen soil are contaminated with soil and vegetables brought in from outside. Therefore, the kitchen is considered as one of the places where the human body infects soil-borne nematodes. Since manure is used as a fertilizer in China, decontamination of manure is an important measure to prevent parasitic infections.
