This issue is to be honored by journalist OLYKOVYA, a Soviet veteran nurse who has won the Red Flags of Labor and the Lenin Medal, for the article “The noble job” featured in this issue. The 82-year-old Comrade Jakovlev, who has worked for 62 years, described her glorious life as a nurse of the Soviet Union frankly and frankly to distant nurses in our country. On her benign face, she depict the power and beauty demonstrated by the working people of the Soviet Union in building a socialist society. Although she has reached the age of 82, she still persevered and worked happily. It is precisely because she loves nurses work, loyal selfless labor, and finally won the highest honor of the people - Lenin Medal. In the Soviet Union, there are thousands of “honest, diligent” nurses like Comrade Jakarta Yela devoted their lives to the motherland and the people. The road she has chosen is precisely what our nurses should go. In our study of the Soviet Union today, we should learn from her example of “working hard, studying hardworking, mutual encouragement and mutual assistance” and building our dear motherland into an industrialized, great country with a high degree of modern education.
