Objective To explore the role and significance of cross-breeding in the study of the interaction of gene environment. Methods A case-control study of oral contraceptives and Leiden factor Ⅴ gene mutation and venous thromboembolism was taken as an example to analyze the core information of 2 × 4 fork analysis table and compare with stratified analysis and simple case study. Results The analysis of the gene-environment interactions relied on the choice of addition or multiplication model. The OR of the fork-based analysis based on the multiplicative model interaction was 1.35 (P> 0.05), and the results were consistent with the stratified analysis and the simple case study. The fork-based analysis also calculated various indicators of the additive model: interaction The effect index was 3.90, the interaction attribution was 72.24%, and the excess relative risk of interaction was 25.08 (P> 0.05). Conclusion Cross-section analysis can be further applied in the analysis of gene-environment interaction.
