Faulkner’s activation of biblical archetypes in the wilderness-travel novels of Yom Kippatamatha World can be abstracted in the overall framework as a three-way coexistence model that is the deep structure of Faulkner’s myths of wilderness The conversion generates many wilderness-travel novels in various forms; the intermediate adjustment of the ternary model, on the one hand, speaks of the context before and after, making the characters symbolically experience the past, the present and the future On the other hand, the metaphor indicates that geography is both internal and external, so that characters not only retain the status of “southerners” but also become part of “Americans” and “humans.” Therefore, the adjustment term can be regarded as Faulkner’s statement of universality of all the single works in his entire lineages is both the same story about the South and the miniaturization of the entire process of seeking truth from God.
