Eugene Smith, author of The Paradise Road, was born in Vikita, Kansas, USA in 1918. When he was 14 years old, he was keen on aerial sports photography and was inspired by the news photographer Frank Noue. education. After graduating from high school, the “Beacon” and “The Beacon” employed by the city served as photojournalists and took pictures of the famine of the famous desert basin in the Midwestern United States. In 1936, Smith received a special photography scholarship and further studies at the University of Rotterdam. Smith, who has received formal higher education, has since become eligible to join the recently established “Life” magazine and has become a member of “Newsweek.” Because he insisted on taking pictures using a 6×6 compact camera that had just come out at the time, this publication actually expelled him. At the time, these large magazines used large cameras to pay attention to the exquisite photos to cater to the readers. Smith believes that using small cameras has greater freedom of exploration.
