The new viewpoints indicate that the lamprophyre is rich in gold deposits (about 10 times the normal igneous rocks), a conclusion that is based on the deduction of the mantle source from the original gold-rich areas. MN Rock and WD Groves of the University of Western Australia suggested that the lamprophyre magma is suitable for carrying gold since it contains high amounts of CO 2, H 2 O, F, K, Rb and Ba, While the S-medium “dense lenticular sulphide ore bodies are actually the gold veins of known deposits in the crust” (Nature, 1988.3.17 P.253-255; Geology, 1988.6.). According to the authors, only calc-alkaline lamprophytes are closely related to gold deposits
