通过制式与设备,通信信号,不论数量多少或者种类各别,都能够在任何时候,在任何两点间可靠地传送,而且价目不高,不经受任何信息上的损耗。这种要求已经上升到重要位置,而在短短几十年前是一件不可想象的事。用放大器来抵偿电缆电路和无线电路的衰减是这项技术的中心,因而是远程通信的首要先决问题。原始的放大器是为电话而设计的,但最新的型号能放大一万条话道的信号而没有丝毫串音。
Through the system and equipment, communication signals, regardless of quantity or type, can be reliably transmitted at any time, between any two points, and the price is not high, without any loss of information. This demand has risen to prominence, something that was unthinkable just a few decades ago. Using amplifiers to compensate for the attenuation of cable and wireless circuits is central to this technology and is therefore the number one priority issue for telecommunications. The original amplifier was designed for the phone, but the latest model amplifies the signal of ten thousand channels without any crosstalk.
