公民意识是公民对自己在国家中地位的认识,其核心是主体意识,基本要求是权利与义务对等。臣民意识的核心是依赖意识,本质是为对方而生活或为对方而存在,是奴隶;公民意识的核心是独立意识,本质是自为存在,是主人。改革开放30多年来,我国的公民意识教育在推进,人们的公民意识在提高,但还未形成现代意义上的公民。 Citizenship is the citizen’s cognition of his position in the country.
