“清明时节雨纷纷,路上行人欲断魂。”提起清明,人们自然会想起唐代诗人杜牧这两句脍炙人口的诗。但在起初,清明并不具有这种意味,而只是一种节气的名称。此时春回大地,天清地明,万物复苏,故有“清明前后,点瓜种豆;植树造林,莫过清明”的农谚。清明节的起源,距今已经2500多年,据传始于古代帝王将相“墓祭”之礼,后来民间亦相仿效,于此日祭祖扫墓,历代沿袭而成为中华民族一种固定的风俗。古代在清明节气前后还有两个重要节日,一个是寒食节,另一个是上巳节,现在的清明节其实是三节合一。
