On September 12, 1990, long-awaited Longhai and Lanxinbeijiang railway lines were completed; in December 1992, the first trip from Lianyungang to the CIS took a special flute, marking the formal opening of the Eurasian Continental Bridge. It runs east from Lianyungang in our country via the Longhai-Lanxin Line, passes through the Bola Tala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang and reaches out to the Friendship Station of the Alashankou to the Commonwealth of Independent States.
