李绍珍院士,1932年出生于广东省广州市。1954年毕业于华南医学院(中山医科大学前身),1962年研究生毕业,1980-1981年赴美国旧金山加州大学Proctor眼科研究所及贝勒医学院从事眼科研究。曾任中山医科大学中山眼科中心主任、眼科医院院长、国务院学位委员会第三届学科评议组成员、第七、八届全国人大代表、广东省第五、六届政协委员,现任中山医科大学中山眼科中心眼科教授、博士研究生导师和学术委员会主任、中山医科大学学术和学位委员会副主任、中华眼科学会副主任委员、中华医学会眼科学会白内障学组副组长、卫生部药物评审委员会委员、HKI(海伦凯勒国际防盲组织)中国顾问、《中华眼科杂志》副主编、《眼科学报》主编、《香港眼科杂志》顾问、第九届全国人大代表。1999年当选为中国工程院院士,成为中国眼科界的第一位院士。 李绍珍院士医德高尚,技术精湛,尤其擅长对白内障的防治研究。她率领本单位专业组开展白内障人工晶体植入术,取得显著成绩,如:率先引进二期人工晶体植入等手术;创立改良巩膜切口、术中调整缝线、术后激光断线、术中或术后角膜切开等综合办法对白内障囊外摘除手术人工晶体植入术的角膜散光进行防治,大大降低了手术所引起的散光,使患者术后获得接近患白内障前最佳视力。作为科研?
