乡土叙事无论被称为写实主义,还是归类于底层写作,其实质都是对农民生存状况及其命运的关注。自“五四”以来,乡土叙事既是中国作家观察和审视社会历史及其变迁的重要视角之一,也是表现和书写各个历史瞬间普通大众及其命运的写作方式之一。无论是鲁迅笔下的乡土启蒙,左翼文学的乡土觉醒,抗战文学的乡土愤怒,解放区文学的乡土复活,十七年文学的乡土新生,“文革”时期的乡土浩劫,1980年代的乡土祛魅,还是1990年代的乡土沉寂,都是在城乡二元视角下去 No matter local realism is called realism or is classified into the bottom writing, its essence is the concern about the peasant’s living condition and its destiny.
