深圳机场目前已名列北京首都机场、广州白云机场和上海浦东机场之后,成为国内第四大机场,《2002年民航机场生产统计公报》显示,1991年10月正式通航的深圳机场在2002年旅客吞吐量、货运和邮运吞吐量,三大指标均位居全国第五。由于美国、欧盟等主要进出日市场经济的全面复苏,作为外向经济依存度极高的深圳去年前3季度航空出口增势迅猛。
