提起陈佳洱,人们首先想到的是他曾任北京大学校长,是位中外知名的教育家,而少有人知道他还是一位成就卓著的科学家。他主持研制出我国静电加速器中能量最高的4.5兆伏静电加速器,主持建成我国第一台14C 超灵敏质谱计、第一台超射频加速器和重离子射频四极场(RFQ)强流加速器以及相关的实验基地。1993年他当选为中国科学院院士,2001年荣获何梁何利科学与技术进步奖,2002年当选为第三世界科学院院士,现任中国物理学会理事长、亚太物理学联合会主席等科学界“要职”。陈佳洱,1934年10月出生于上海。其
When Chen Jia’er was mentioned, one of the first things he thought of was that he had been the president of Peking University and was a well-known educator both at home and abroad. Few knew that he was still an outstanding scientist.
