The Zuguanshan burial ground, a common cemetery used in successive periods, is located to the south of the railway station of Ningbo city. In 1996, 13 tombs there were excavated on the basis of survey. These graves fall into three categories: mud-wall tombs, brick-chambered ones, and earth-pit ones. The funeral objects include the celadon box, water pot, four-looped jar and double-looped jar, the bronze mirror and coin, and the wooden tomb-figures. Judged by the features of these objects as well as by the tomb shape and structure, the burials can be dated to the mid and late Tang, Northern Song and Ming periods. Their discovery enriched the material for studying the funeral institutions of those times.
