Objective To study the gender self-concept of college students. Methods The gender role scale and self-designed implicit association test were used. Results 1 There is consistency between the sexes’ self-concept in different sexes.2 There is no significant difference in the implicit association test between different genders.3 The response time to the feminine words in the implicit association test There was a significant positive correlation between scores of masculinity in the explicit scale, and there was no significant correlation between masculine and feminine traits in both the implicit association test and the explicit scale. Conclusions1 The overall gender identity of undergraduates is generally good and their gender roles have been largely accepted and confirmed.2 This suggests that implicit gender self-concepts may be somewhat consistent with explicit gender self-concepts.
