At the time of writing this manuscript, I was unusually hardworking. Because the purpose of this interview is to draw a portrait of this special group of death row prisoners, I can not find their common ground anyway. I had to reorganize my interview with Ding Yihe, author of the death row file. Due to his work in the Beijing High Court, Ding Yihe has the unique privilege of approaching all kinds of death row prisoners. Over the three years he served as editor of “inside and outside the courtroom”, more than 40 inmates were interviewed. This is a general reporter can not be reached. He is very proud of this: “In Beijing, like me, no fewer than two prisoners can be interviewed at any time.” "
