虚拟化作为一种资源抽象管理的技术,在云计算中发挥着重要的作用。新兴的容器化解决方案比传统虚拟机提供了更多的灵活性和更高的效能,已经证明可以成为云计算中虚拟化的轻量级替代。Docker作为轻量级容器管理引擎为新一代云计算平台提供了支持。本文研究了现有虚拟化技术,并使用通用的基准测试HPL来评估传统KVM虚拟机和Docker容器的性能差异。结果表明,容器技术在计算能力方面比虚拟化有更多的优势,而且自身开销低。但是Docker也有自身的适用场景和隔离安全性方面的不足,大规模地使用Docker时,需要慎重考虑。
Virtualization, as a resource abstract management technology, plays an important role in cloud computing. Emerging containerization solutions offer more flexibility and performance than traditional virtual machines and have proved to be a lightweight alternative to virtualization in cloud computing. Docker as a lightweight container management engine for a new generation of cloud computing platform provides support. This article examines existing virtualization technologies and uses a common benchmark, HPL, to evaluate the performance differences between traditional KVM virtual machines and Docker containers. The results show that container technology has more advantages in computing power than virtualization and has its own low overhead. However, Docker also has its own application scenarios and isolation security deficiencies, large-scale use of Docker, you need to carefully consider.
