我国外国文学理论教学中的一种常见模式是流派教学 ,隐藏在这种教学背后的是一种简单假设 ,即 2 0世纪西方文论的发展史是一种“你方唱罢我登场”的思潮颠覆史。本文以当代欧美叙事理论为例指出当代欧美叙事理论中的不同理论流派之间不只是一种简单的颠覆和取代关系 ,它们之间除了批判和超越关系之外更有一种整合与继承的关系 ,80年代之后的西方叙事理论演进过程从很大意义上是一个由许多个别理论家在对经典叙事学进行继承和整合基础上谋求局部超越的过程。本文以澳大利亚理论家伊恩·里德的后结构主义叙事交换理论为例对后结构主义叙事理论在整合经典叙事学传统基础上以实现超越的特点做一点管窥。
A common model in the teaching of foreign literary theory in our country is genre teaching. What is hidden behind this kind of teaching is a simple assumption that the history of the development of Western literary theory in the 20th century was a kind of “you sing at me” Thoughts of subversion history. This paper takes the contemporary European and American narrative theory as an example to point out that the different theoretical schools in contemporary European and American narrative theories are not only a simple subversion and replacement, but also have a more integrated and inherited relationship besides criticism and transcendence. In the great sense, the evolution of western narrative theory after the 1980s is a process of seeking partial surpass by many individual theorists based on the inheritance and integration of the classic narratology. This article takes the post-structuralist theory of narrative exchange of the Australian theoretician Ian Reid as an example to give a glimpse of the post-structuralist narrative theory with the characteristics of surpassing the traditional narrative tradition.
