本文以两宋时期考古出土的生肖图像为研究对象,讨论该题材在10世纪以后的发展、变化、时代及区域特征,试图理解十二生肖像在丧葬艺术中呈现出的复杂表现与多重的意涵。这种源于北朝、盛行于隋唐的图像题材,在五代两宋持续发展,大量出现在南方地区的宋墓中,带有鲜明的区域特色,并成为更具普遍意义的墓葬装饰元素。
