准噶尔盆地南缘与著名的中亚砂岩型铀矿集区毗邻,在其东西两侧的吐哈盆地和伊犁盆地均有大型砂岩型铀矿床产出,而且与吐哈盆地和伊犁盆地在中、新生代经历了相似的构造演化历程和岩石沉积组合(刘和甫等,1994;李胜祥等,2006;李卫红等,2010),然而至今却没有发现砂岩型铀矿床,只是在地表发现星点状铀异常。前人普遍认为,地表的异常点带具有潜水氧化成因特点,并且与新构造活动导致的油气渗出作用有关。但最新研究表明,局部地段(如头屯河地区)的铀异常应属层间氧化带型“古矿”残留(耿英
The southern margin of the Junggar Basin is adjacent to the famous Central Asian sandstone-type uranium mineralization area. Large-scale sandstone-type uranium deposits are produced in both the Turpan-Hami basin and the Ili basin on both east and west sides of the Junggar Basin, The Cenozoic experienced similar tectonic evolution and lithostratigraphic assemblage (Liu and Fu et al., 1994; Li Shengxiang et al., 2006; Li et al., 2010). However, so far no sandstone-type uranium deposit has been found but an asteroid uranium anomaly has been found on the surface. It is generally accepted by predecessors that the anomalous point belt on the earth’s surface has the characteristics of subduction and oxidation and is related to the oil and gas exudation caused by the new tectonic activity.
