从1982年全国档案工作会议发出开创档案工作新局面动员令三年多以来,山西省阳高县档案馆的工作发生了可喜的变化:馆藏档案增加近万卷,资料增加约七千卷(册),馆藏档案和资料都比1982年翻了一番多。同时,还编写出版了二十三万字的档案参考资料,新编制了四种档案检索工具,清理、鉴定了馆藏档案,提高科学管理水平。由于馆藏的不断丰富和检索工具的“成龙配套”,提高了档案资料的查准率和查全率,1985年为和用者提供档案资料八千四百卷(册),1986年仅上半年就提供五千多卷(册),相当于1982年的163.5％。阳高县档案馆已成为阳高全县永久保管档案资料的基地和各方面利用档案史料的中心。三年半内,阳高县档案馆工作之所以能够开创一个新的局面,主要在于我们做了以下几方面的工作:
