Traditionally, there have been three theoretical currents of development economics, neoclassicalism, structuralism and radicalism. Since the 1980s, the trend of structuralism and radicalism has been declining. Neoclassical thinking has occupied the mainstream status in the study of development economics. But strictly speaking, the so-called neoclassical development economics does not exist in fact, and in recent years it has been regarded as a development economics.
