Emerging markets experienced unprecedented high growth between 2000 and 2012. However, this growth is not sustainable. Most of the potential has been consumed. The era of credit and commodity prosperity is coming to an end. The financial system remains fragile with all the signs that emerging economies The prospects for economic growth are grim. In contrast, after the financial crisis, the developed economies have stepped out of difficulties through fiscal consolidation and structural reforms, and the economic recovery is just around the corner. Emerging economies should fully seize the opportunity to speed up structural reforms, properly adjust economic policies, strive to improve the quality of economic governance and ensure that the economic growth rate is maintained in a healthy and reasonable operating range.
