Salvia miltiorrhiza, also known as purple salvia, is the dry root of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, which is bitterly bitter, slightly cold (also known as sexual) and enters the heart and liver. Since the 1930s, there have been many studies on its composition, pharmacology, and clinical application. Its extract Salvia miltiorrhiza injection has been included in the 1977 Chinese Pharmacopoeia as a statutory preparation. It has the functions of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stagnation and tonifying the heart to improve heart function. It can be used clinically for angina pectoris and acute myocardial infarction to improve symptoms and ischemic electrocardiographic changes. In addition there are blood pressure, sedation, soothe the nerves, analgesic, antibacterial and other effects. However, whether Salvia miltiorrhiza has anti-arrhythmic effects, there is no special research and clinical observation. To this end, an experimental study of Danshen injection against arrhythmia induced by bronchiolitis was conducted.
