The effect of mulberry leaves on insulin resistance was investigated in non-insulin-dependent diabetic (NIDDM) GK rats. Materials and Methods: 1The experimental animals were 15-week-old male GK rats (315.4±7.9g), and the control group was Wistar male rats of the same age. Before the experiment, the animals were housed in separate cages, and they were fed food and water freely. During the experiment, they were fasted for 20 hours, but they were free to drink water. 2 Preparation of mulberry hot water extract: 60 g of dried mulberry leaves were added with 3 L of water, extracted at 100° C. for 30 min, filtered and concentrated to 500 mL, and then centrifuged, and the supernatant was freeze-dried.
