引言1966年至1969年,在我国华北的东部,先后发生了邢台6.8、7.2、河间6.3、渤海7.4级地震,依据这些地震活动的某些特征和迁移的趋势,当时我国地震界曾提出辽南地区可能是未来强震发生的一个重要地点的预报意见。1975年2月4日海城7.3级地震在预料之中发生了。1975年底,有人提出:“海城地震可能是一个转折,东西向的华北块体北界将出现地震活跃”1),并提出几个可能发震地点。相隔仅三个多月,1976年4月6日在阴山-燕山地震带中段的和林格尔发生了6.3级地震;接着7月28日在该带东段的唐山发生了震惊中外的7.8级大地震;9月23日又在该带西段的巴音木仁发生了6.2级地震,这其间还发生了磴口震群,
