To solve the problem of energy shortage and environmental pollution is an urgent need for our country to achieve sustainable development, improve people’s quality of life and safeguard national security. Photocatalytic materials can decompose solar energy into chemical energy (hydrogen energy or hydrocarbon fuel) by using water decomposition or carbon dioxide reduction, and can also degrade organic pollutants. Therefore, photocatalytic materials have important application prospects in solving energy and environmental problems. Photocatalysis in the environmental purification (such as air purification) has been initially applied. In the photocatalytic energy conversion is still in-depth research.
