分布式光纤拉曼放大器(DFRA)因其特有的在线、宽带、低噪声等特点越来越引起人们的重视。利用其在线以及低噪声的特点,将其用作远程光纤水听器(FOH)系统的在线放大器,并测量引入分布式光纤拉曼放大前后系统噪声的变化情况。实验结果表明,分布式光纤拉曼放大器作为在线放大器应用于远程光纤水听器系统后,系统的强度噪声和相位噪声的增加量均小于2 dB。同时,将分布式光纤拉曼放大器与目前广泛应用的掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)进行对比,发现前者具有更好的噪声性能。因此,分布式光纤拉曼放大器可用作远程光纤水听器系统的在线光放大器。
Distributed Fiber Raman Amplifier (DFRA) has drawn more and more attention because of its unique characteristics of online, broadband and low noise. Using its on-line and low noise characteristics, it is used as an on-line amplifier in a remote fiber hydrophone (FOH) system and measures changes in system noise before and after the introduction of distributed fiber Raman amplification. The experimental results show that the distributed Raman amplifier as an on-line amplifier used in remote optical fiber hydrophone system, the increase of system noise and phase noise are less than 2 dB. At the same time, comparing the distributed fiber Raman amplifier with the current widely used erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA), we find that the former has better noise performance. Therefore, a distributed fiber Raman amplifier can be used as an in-line optical amplifier for remote fiber hydrophone systems.
