Lessing has always been concerned about the female experience and gender relations, many of her previous novels involved in this area. Lessing in her new book “Crack” also showed concern on the subject. While deconstructing Greek and Roman mythology, the novel creates a unique and novel myth of human origins: the birth of a man long after the woman appeared. The conflict, struggle, reconciliation and interdependence of the sexual relations have also started from the birth of men. The selection of the beginning of the relationship between the sexes to cut into this topic, no doubt make the discussion on this issue has the significance of the prototype. Through two narrats, the ancient women’s wheat and the Roman historians, tells the story from two perspectives, so that we can hear different voices from different genders. At the same time, the relationship between the ancestry and ancient Roman patriarchal society has become stronger Let us feel the fact that the male has the distortion and tampering of the facts after he has held the power of discourse, and let us also see the fate of women in the patriarchal society.
