没有一个时代的艺术批评拥有今天这样丰富的理论工具,也没有一个时代的艺术批评像今天这样面对如此复杂的艺术生态。面对艺术界的纷纷扰扰、此起彼伏,批评家的虚脱、单薄、紧张、失语几乎成为一种常态,面对这个被各种围墙、规则切割的艺术社会,批评家在很多的时候倒像置身事外的游击战士,偶或对着天气的变化放几枪,以宣示自己的存在。追溯产生这一局面的根源,一个是20世纪90年代以来体制转化的巨大浪潮,另外一个是作为艺术生产工具的媒介及其环境的整体
There is no age of art criticism has such a rich theoretical tool today, nor the art criticism of an era facing such a complex artistic ecology like today. In the face of numerous disturbances in the art world, one after another, critics’ prostration, weakness, tension and aphasia have almost become the norm. In the art society that is cut by various walls and rules, critics often act like they are Guerrilla warfare, even a few shots of changes against the weather to declare their existence. Trace back to the root causes of this situation, one is a huge wave of institutional transformation since the 1990s and the other is the medium as an instrument of artistic production and the environment as a whole
