Liu Fajian’s lesson about “My Uncle Lu Xun” (see Issue 19 of this year’s article) unexpectedly leads to a topic: How to always maintain a children’s perspective in education, especially in elementary school? A child’s perspective is to urge teachers to always have a childlike innocence. Teacher Li Jilin said: “I am a grown-up child.” With innocence, we can understand the childlike innocence of students and appreciate the innocence of them. Be wary of imposing adult inflexions on them. To maintain a child perspective, is to hope that teachers consciously have childhood awareness. Childhood has its own value. Without childhood, our life is not complete. Without the longing for childhood, our life will lack a pure happiness. Please protect your child’s childhood! To maintain a child perspective, is to urge education to know how to respect children’s culture. The so-called education from the children, is to emphasize that education should not only have the lead side, but also have “squat down ” close to the student side. Respecting a child’s culture means getting the educational content as close as possible to the student (and of course transcendence) and making teaching methods as attractive as possible for the student. There is no affinity for education that keeps or repels children’s cultures. Education, do not let children’s perspective absent.
