Jean de Reszke (1830-1925) was the main tenor of the 19th century to the 20th century known as the Golden Age of Opera. He boarded the opera stage as a baritone in 1874, but nothing had changed until his brother and sister traveled around the country. Later he studied from Stribria (J.Sbriglia, 1832-1916, Italian tenor). In 1879 he again debut as a tenor. He originally from Poland, but at the time he sings Italian operas sing better than the Italians; singing French operas sing better than the French; singing German operas sing better than the Germans. From 1890 to 1902, he was the first tenor of the New York Metropolitan Opera. After 1902, he taught in Paris and Nice until his death.
