副溶血性弧菌食物中毒在日本和我国,副溶血性菌食物中毒的发病率并不低于沙门氏菌属所致的食物中毒。副溶血性弧菌又称致病性嗜盐菌,是近30年才发现的一种肠道致病菌。我国在60年代初期,继日本以后,在世界上提出有关该菌食物中毒的报告。70年代以来.世界各地也陆续有类似的报告。副溶血性弧菌是近海的海洋性革兰氏阴性菌之一,生长于近海的海水和海洋生物之中。其引起食物中毒主要是污染鱼、虾、蟹等海产品,或污染盐腌的蛋,肉、菜等食品所致。本菌是目前所知增代繁殖
