计算了不同传输速率的高速光通信系统偏振模色散(PMD)的允许容差。介绍了光纤光栅PMD的测量方法,并分别测量了B/Ge和氢载两种光敏光纤上写入啁啾光纤光栅(CFBG)的PMD值。测量结果表明,相同参数情况下,两种光敏光纤上写入CFBG的PMD值分别为10 ps左右以及1 ps以下。在10 Gb/s,1500 km光纤光栅色散补偿系统中,分别采用以上两种光敏光纤写入光栅制作色散补偿器,结果表明,当误码率为10-12时,未对光栅进行PMD补偿前,信道无误码功率代价分别为6.36 dB和1.42 dB。利用保偏光纤对CFBG的PMD进行补偿后,信道无误码功率代价改善为1.32 dB和1.36 dB。
The allowable tolerance of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) of high speed optical communication systems with different transmission rates is calculated. The measurement method of fiber grating PMD is introduced and the PMD values of chirped fiber grating (CFBG) written on the two kinds of photosensitive fibers B / Ge and hydrogen are respectively measured. The measurement results show that the PMD values written into the CFBGs of the two photosensitive optical fibers are about 10 ps and 1 ps respectively under the same parameters. In the 10 Gb / s, 1500 km FBG dispersion compensation system, the above two kinds of photosensitive fiber write grating are respectively used to make the dispersion compensator. The results show that when the BER is 10-12, the grating is not compensated before PMD , The channel error-free power cost is 6.36 dB and 1.42 dB, respectively. Using polarization-maintaining fiber to compensate the PMD of CFBG, the channel error-free power penalty improves to 1.32 dB and 1.36 dB.
