改革开放以来,我国的造船和航海业得到了长足发展。中国的造船业已位居世界第三。船舶出口区域已从东南亚发展到了包括美、英、德、日、挪等发达国家,船型已从一般散货船、油船发展到高新技术船舶。预期未来十年,中国将跻身于世界先进造船国家行列。中国的远洋船队正随着国家经济实力的增强和对外贸易的迅速增长而不断壮大,目前,已跻身于国际航运大国行列。中国已连续五届当选为国际海事组织(IMO)A类理事国,在国际航运界的地位已越来越为世界所瞩目。所有这些,都为中国船级社的发展壮大提供了良好的发展机遇,同时说明中国也需要有一个自己的强大的国际一流的船级社,才能与我们这个航运大国相称,才能有益于我国航运业和造船业的进一步发展。
Since the reform and opening up, China’s shipbuilding and marine industries have made great strides. China’s shipbuilding industry has ranked third in the world. The export area of ships has developed from Southeast Asia to developed countries including the United States, Britain, Germany, Japan, Norway and other countries. The ship types have evolved from general bulk carriers and oil tankers to hi-tech ships. It is expected that in the next 10 years, China will rank among the world’s advanced shipbuilding countries. China’s ocean-going fleet is growing with the enhancement of the country’s economic strength and the rapid growth of foreign trade. At present, China’s ocean-going fleet ranks among the largest shipping nations in the world. China has been elected as a category A member of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for five consecutive terms and its position in the international shipping community has drawn more and more attention from the world. All of these provide good opportunities for the development and growth of China Classification Society. At the same time, it shows that China also needs its own powerful world-class classification society to be commensurate with our big shipping country so as to benefit our shipping industry. Industry and shipbuilding industry to further the development.
