Objective To understand the compliance of vaccination against rabies exposed persons in Zibo City and to provide data support for improving adherence. Methods Based on the registration of patients admitted to Zibo City Center for Disease Control and Prevention from Jan. to Dec. 2012 due to animal injuries, compliance analysis was conducted on the vaccination of rabies exposed persons. Results Among the 2 824 rabies exposed cases, 2 372 cases were completely vaccinated and their compliance with vaccination was 83.99%. The compliance of class Ⅲ exposed patients was significantly better than that of Ⅱ class exposed patients. The compliance of the first three doses The fourth and fifth stitches decreased significantly. The compliance rate of the exposed group was 93.76%, 80.18% and 86.70% respectively at the age of 0 ~ 15, the age of 15 ~ 50 and the age of 50. The compliance of the children was obviously better than that of the children Adherence of young adults and urban residents was significantly higher than that of rural areas (P <0.05). The main reasons for non-compliance were as follows: long time of inoculation, frequent number of visits (39.38%), others such as transportation and forgetting (19.91%), high cost (19.25%), lack of knowledge of rabies (15.93%), Side effects (accounting for 5.53%). Conclusion The compliance of vaccination with rabies exposed persons in Zibo City needs to be improved due to many factors. The 2-1-1 procedure should be popularized by strengthening communication between doctors and patients and health promotion, so as to improve compliance and prevent the occurrence of rabies in the city more effectively .
