北方玉米产区几乎每个市县都有糠醛厂，糠醛废渣大都没有利用。大面积分布的石灰性土壤和碱土都是碱性的中低产田。糠醛废渣是酸性的有机物料，可以用作改良碱性土壤，改善作物根际环境；减少氨肥的挥发损失；提高磷素及微量元素的有效性；提高土壤的透水性等。糠醛废渣改良碱性中低产田有很好的前景。
There are furfural plants in almost every city and county in the northern corn producing areas, most of which are not used. Large areas of calcareous soil and alkaline earth are alkaline low-yielding fields. Furfural residue is an acidic organic material, which can be used as an improved alkaline soil to improve crop rhizosphere environment; reduce the loss of ammonia fertilizer volatilization; improve the effectiveness of phosphorus and trace elements; and improve the water permeability of the soil. Furfural residues in alkaline medium and low yield fields have a good prospect.
