我是在赣南山区完成中学学业的。进中学的时候,“文革”结束不久,刚刚恢复高考。阶级斗争和“文化大革命”把一批批“牛鬼蛇神”“臭老九”赶到山区,成了我们的中学老师。乡下孩子有幸听这些奇人异士讲课,真是大开眼界。几乎每一堂课都是精神的盛宴。我们中的许多人喜爱读书,敬重读书人,喜欢让自己有点书生气、书卷气,全拜这些“牛鬼蛇神”“臭老九”所赐。记得初中有位数学老师,课上得精彩,
I finished secondary school in the mountains of southern Jiangxi. Into secondary school, “Cultural Revolution ” ended soon, just resumed college entrance examination. The class struggle and the “Cultural Revolution” rushed a batch of “monsters and ghosts and gods” and “smelly old nines” into the mountains to become our middle school teachers. Country kids have the honor to listen to these strange people lectures, really eye-opener. Almost every lesson is a spiritual feast. Many of us love to read books, respect scholarly books, like to make ourselves a little book angry, bookish, all thanks to these “monsters” “smelly old nine ”. I remember a junior high school mathematics teacher, class was wonderful,
