have 有很强的表意功能和搭配能力。它既可充当助动词,又可作实义动词,表示“拥有”等意义;还可以与某些介词、副词或名词等组成词组,用途广泛,简洁明快。本文着重谈谈 have 一词在中学英语课本中的一些固定搭配(结构)的用法。请先看下面几个引自中学英语课本中含 have 一词的句子:1.They told the Emperor that he should have new clothes made of this splendid cloth for thecoming great procession.2.The night before the procession,the two men had their lights burning all night long.3.I won’t have you saying such things.4.The soldiers had the boy stand with his back to his father.

It can also be used with some prepositions, adverbs or nouns to form phrases that are versatile and concise.
