在传统环境艺术设计专业教学中,开展环境雕塑课程主要目的是为了培养学生的动手能力,提高其技术能力和造型能力,但随着教学形势的变迁,把环境雕塑仅仅当作一门技术性课程,明显不能满足新的教学形势,在对学生进行技法训练的同时更要注重培养其艺术修养。雕塑仍然是雕塑,其内涵是不变的,但随着雕塑在环境艺术设计专业的发展,环境雕塑课程在环境设计专业中的实践与探索也应与时俱进,不断地发展和完善。每一个环境雕塑教师和教学机构应当根据当前的背景,面对新的社会形势,提出新的切合实际的雕塑教学模式,这是必须要承担的责任,是他们面临的一个挑战,也是机遇。

Each environmental sculpture teacher and teaching institution should, in the light of the current background, face new social situations and come up with new realistic teaching models of sculpture. This is a responsibility that must be shouldered and a challenge and an opportunity they face.
