博优175是玉林地区农科所1989年用博A×175配组育成。1991年参加玉林地区区试,8个试点平均亩产461.4公斤,比博优64增产3.4％,比桂晚辐增产18.8％,产量居熟组10个品种组合第1位;1992年复试,8点平均亩产512.9公斤,比博优64增产4.1％,比桂晚辐增产33.0％,产量居熟组17个品种组合第1位。1992年晚造参加广西区试,11个点平均亩产473.2公斤,比博优64增1.85％,居于12个品种组合第1位。被评为入选组合。博优175属感光型晚稻,适于我区桂南稻作区作晚造种植。1992年晚造北流隆盛、平南官城镇、贵港、桂平、玉林地区所种植,亩产达500—790.61公
