对于当今中国的青少年,“学会生存”显得非常迫切且重要,但是这并没有引起我们足够的重视。作者希望通过本课题的调查研究,让更多的人了解到实行生存教育的现实意义,并且试图探寻在地理教育中开展生存教育的教学途径,以便充分地发挥地理学科独特的优势,并利用其丰富的生存教育素材,转变地理老师的陈旧教育观念,开展与“生存”有关的地理活动,从而增强学生的生存意识,并着力提高他们的生存能力。
