The determination of trace copper in drinking water by 5 Br PADAP photometry has been performed.It abids the Bill’s law within copper content ranges from 0.00 to 10.00μg,Y=2.338×10 -3 +0.04848X;r=0.9999;the recovery rate was from 88.00% to 111.00%;from day to day trial (n=7) showed SD=0.056 and RSD=2.84%.The method is nonpoisonous,simple and convenient,sensitive,accurate and with stable colouration and colour reagent.It is suitable for determination trace copper in drinking water.
