Female, 60 years old, admitted to hospital in December 1993 for tinnitus and left ear progressive hearing loss for 16 months. During the onset of dysarthria and difficulty swallowing, accompanied by left facial paroxysmal paralysis and transient vertigo. Previously had a right tarsal resection.
